jazz

Female mix

JAZZ

Jazz is an 8 year old, spayed German Shorthair/BlueHeeler mix. She had the same owner for most of her life who seriously neglected her. We finally rescued her in August after she spent most of last year in the owner's vehicle, lucky to have water or fresh air. It has been an ongoing process to acclimate Jazz to the life that she deserves.

Jazz currently lives with three other male dogs. She is very sweet and affectionate but at times somewhat timid. She has an extreme amount of energy and we allow her to run where she wants. She would be best with a home where she would receive lots of attention and there is plenty of room to run. Jazz listens well, is great in the house and will get along with other dogs when properly introduced. She seems to get along better with males than females. We are unsure of how she is with children or cats. Shetakes estrogen twice a week for incontinence.

BABY

Female mix

BABY

Hello! My name is Baby. I am a cattle dog mix that needs to find a home. I was found running through alleys in Denver and my foster parents brought me home so that I wasn’t stuck out in the cold. I love my foster family, but they already have three dogs and I need my own family. I am very good with other dogs, my foster brothers and sister have been great fun to play with. I have met two cats here and I am curious but gentle as to what they are. I am protective of my foster family and do not like strange men, but I do like my foster dad, almost too much. I like to play with toys and chew on bones, I mean who doesn’t. I am very good about down time and relax with my foster family. I don’t have much training, as I do not know how to sit or stay off the furniture, but all I want to do is cuddle. I don’t have much experience on leash but I am learning quickly what it is all about. I can jump a short fence and will probably need a house with a backyard and a 6ft plus fence. It is my curiosity that gets me in trouble, but I am young, maybe a year.  My ideal new home would have a brother or sister that has the same activity level as me, a fenced yard and a loving mom or dad or both. My foster family doesn’t know how I would react to small children. Please check out my pictures, I am a little thin now, but I should be to a normal size soon. Please email ahmandsmm@yahoo.com if you can help me find a home.

Dobby

Male ACD

Dobby

Dobby is our 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog. He loves to play ball and I think it is the best treat you could give him. He loves attention but is actually very calm most of the time. He likes to lay by your feet and relax. He loves attention though and will put his paw on your knee or ask to shake hands and say hello when you talk to him. He is very gentle and loving with his family. He watches over everyone and makes sure they are safe. He gets very upset if there is wild playing and he thinks someone will get hurt, so he may bark or use his mouth to hang onto you if you are yelling, or running around. He doesn't bite down but this may scare children if they are being wild around him. He does love to play with children or adults if they are old enough to understand not to get too wild with him. He sleeps well through the night indoors and only barks rarely if he is outdoors at night. He definitely loves to chase cats and may see small animals more as food than friends even if they are little dogs. He currently lives in a home with two house cats and a miniature dog so he needs a new situation without the small animals.

Send an email to mid@rocketmail.com if you can help Dobby.

bluefoxy

Male and female ACD

Blue and Foxy

Blue was found in the desert starving, after several months he was back to a normal weight. Then Foxy came along, another rescue and she was deaf. They bonded and Blue takes care of Foxy, so if at all possible we would like them to go together. Foxy does very well and knows some hand signs, Blue is her ears. Blue does exhibit some seperation anxiety if left alone without Foxy.
